What you need


Articles of organization – The document needed to officially register your LLC with the state.

Certificates of formation – A legal document that is filed in Texas with the secretary of state to create a corporation, limited liability company, and similar entities. Certificates of formation will contain the entity’s basic information (name, registered agent, office address, share structure, etc.).

Name check service – To confirm that your preferred business name is available.

Registered agent service – A registered agent is an individual Texas resident or a domestic entity, or a foreign entity that has qualified or registered to transact business in Texas who is responsible for receiving and forwarding service of process or official notices addressed to an entity. 

Tax filing obligation – Determine the potential tax responsibilities of the new business with federal, state and local tax authorities. Federal tax obligations are filed through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). State tax filings are done through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
